冷涼な気候により抑制的ですが、若いころから熟成の可能性を感じます。スモーキーなアロマとともにブラックカラントやブルーベリーの香りが広がります。ラベル：ヴァロワのエリザベート。14歳でフィリップ2世と結婚しスペイン、ナポリ、シシリー王妃、そしてブルゴーニュ侯爵夫人に。

醸造：手摘みによる収穫と厳格な選果。開放式木製樽で17日発酵。20%全房を使用。12ヶ月熟成(新樽50%)させ、マロラクティック発酵は4月後半に開始。翌年12月瓶詰。
Coming from a cold climat, Mercurey Ier Cru is discreet and withdrawn in its early youth but shows a real potential of bottle aging. Its smoky nose brings also notes of blackcurrant and blueberry.

STORY:
Elisabeth de Valois, often called Elisabeth de France, died at the age of 23, on October 3rd, 1568. Her marriage by proxy to Philip II at age 14 made her Queen of Spain, Naples and Sicily, as well as Duchess of Burgundy.
