Domaine Laroche

フランスで最も洗練されたワインを作る生産者の一つ、ドメーヌ・ラッロシュはシャブリの地に深く根付いている生産者でグラン・クリュの最大所有者の一人です。

ドメーヌはオベディエンスリー・ド・シャブリに本拠を構えています。この地は19世紀前半に建てられた古い修道院があり、サン・マルタン・ド・トゥール（聖マルティヌス＝13番目の使徒　道端の乞食に馬上から自らのマントを剣で２つに割き着せてあげたという逸話が有名）がそこでワインを造っていたと言われています。ドメーヌ・ラロッシュは計100ha近くの畑を所有し、才気あふれるドメーヌチームでシャブリのアペラシオンのピュアな表現を目指しています。多くの畑は樹齢60年にものぼる古樹が植えられており、恵まれた土地の条件を満たしています。サステナビリティを尊重した栽培を実践し、人工的な防虫剤や除草剤は使用しません。

果実そのものの純粋さとクオリティーがワインメーカーのグレゴリー・ヴィエノワが最も重視していることです。ワインメイキングにおけるアプローチは細部まで手の込んでいる一方、人的介入は最小限にとどめており、その結果、シャブリの多様で唯一無二の土地の個性が、ワインにはっきりと表れています。ドメーヌ・ラロシュはプルミエ・クリュとグラン・クリュを、1000年以上前に修道士により建設されたオベディエンスリー・ド・シャブリのセラーで熟成させています。
 

One of France’s finest producers, Domaine Laroche is deeply rooted in the history of Chablis and is one of its largest holders of Grand Cru vineyards.

Headquartered at the beautiful Obédiencerie de Chablis, a former ninth century monastery where the monks of Saint Martin of Tours made wine, Domaine Laroche dates to the mid-19th century when Victor Laroche purchased his first parcel of land in Chablis. Today, Domaine Laroche owns a total of nearly 100 hectares in the appellation and is managed by a talented team dedicated to caring for the land to encourage the purest expression of Chablis. Many of the domaine’s vineyards are over 60 years old and are situated amongst the best crus. Sustainable viticulture is practiced throughout, with no artificial pesticides or herbicides used.

Purity and quality are at the heart of winemaker Gregory Viennois’s winemaking philosophy. His approach to production is meticulous yet minimalist in style, resulting in dynamic wines that showcase the unique character of each individual vineyard site. Domaine Laroche ages its Premiers and Grands Crus in the historical cellars of the Obédiencerie de Chablis, as the monks did 1,000 years ago.
