Spellbound was born of Rob Mondavi Jr.'s desire to craft every day approachable wines from California that are relaxed enough to enjoy every day, yet special enough to celebrate milestone events.
Winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr. and partners, honor California's heritage through Spellbound's focus on one of the first varietals grown in the state, Petite Sirah. In 2009, Spellbound launched an outstanding Petite Sirah Reserve from Napa Valley, reinforcing the label's commitment to this growing varietal.
Crafted from grapes from established and emerging regions in California, such as Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley, Santa Barbara, and Lodi, the core Spellbound lineup includes the Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay.

シャルドネは世界で最も有名な白ブドウ品種といっても過言でななく、世界中で栽培されています。その栽培の容易さからオーストラリア、カリフォルニア、イタリアなど世界各地にシャルドネの産地はありますが、本場ブルゴーニュの高いクオリティやフィネスは、多くの生産者がシャルドネの理想のスタイルとして追い求めています。
シャルドネの味わいの特徴は、栽培されている産地によって顕著に変化します。カリフォルニアやオーストラリアのような温暖な気候では、メロン、パイナップルやマンゴーなどトロピカルフルーツのアロマが感じられる一方、ブルゴーニュなどの冷涼産地ではレモンやライムなどの柑橘類に青りんご、白桃のような香りが出てきます。
